Fischer & Rechsteiner Est. 1882 has been the first forwarding agent in Chiasso contemporary with the opening of the Gotthardbahn from Lucerne to Milan.

At the beginning of the 19th Century the name became "Successori Fischer & Rechsteiner". Since September 1946, under the management of the late Mr. Carlo Loderer, chairman from 1953 until the new millennium, who developed successfully the company, the name was changed into the actual "Fischer & Rechsteiner SA".

The first way of transportation was the railway, but during the last years the traffic routes developed quickly and "Fischer & Rechsteiner SA" offer is up to date.
